Resident Surgeon – Robert Sikes, D.V.M.
Dr. Sikes is a Board Certified Specialist in Veterinary Medicine with over 25 years of experience in small animal surgery. After receiving his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University in Alabama, he spent three years in private practice, concentrating on emergency animal care. Motivated by the desire to offer clients advanced surgical care, he went on to achieve specialty board certification after an internship and surgical residency at The Animal Medical Center in New York, one of the world’s leading veterinary teaching institutions. Moving to Los Angeles, he finalized the requisite training under the supervision of a board certified surgeon and opened his own practice in 1987. In 2001, Dr. Sikes moved to the Central Coast of California where he began a mobile surgical practice prior to founding the premier Animal Surgical Group facility in 2006.
